ATALANTA WELLER
One of the winners of the British Fashion Council's Newgen awards, exhibiting at this years London Fashion Week! Designs very unique architectual style platforms, ankle boots and wedges.
THE DESIGNER: Fabulous Shoe Designer, Winner of the NEWGEN award, this fashion superstar studied at Cordwainers Colllege and has worked with House of Holland for the past 4 seasons. She has also designed a variety of stylish shoes for Sinha Stanic and Gareth Pugh.
STYLE WATCH: Her take on her own work is "BOLD & GRAPHIC" with a futuristic feel. Her 2010 fall/winter inspirations are Appleseed, the italian architect, Pier Luigi Nervi and Shakespear's sister.
INFLUENCES: Living in London! A wealth of creative possibilities and a lot of diversity to draw on.
ABOUT NEWGEN: Created in 1993 by the BFC to support emerging designer talent. This year the award is sponsored by TOPSHOP. Chosen designers recieve a nice monetary sum, a sponsored exhibition space, usage of the BFC Catwalk Show space and mentoring!
