It's the start of the new year and what better time to make resolutions and begin a "New You: New Shoe" closet clean-up! Yes, it's clearly important to take care of your yourself, but how about taking care of your closet! 2009 consisted of some major trends in shoes including; high-top designer sneakers, python inspired heels and pumps, and a fashionista fav,the shoe bootie or "shootie" which is a boot that cuts off at the ankle and can lace up or slip on! If you are a shoe junky like a lot of people out there, you probably aquired a few pairs (okay 8) of shoes last year! However, as great as it feels to add new and unique shoes to your collection, the extreme trends like Over the Knee boots are out as quickly as they are in! The new shoe on the block could be just around the corner, starving for it's name in lights and anxiously awaiting to become the "cool" shoe in your closet. So, because of this "IT SHOE" trend, many shoes and boots you have purchased over the years may now be the closet "mis-fits"! They cannot compete with the new shoes, and you just don't have the space. It is now time for the New You: New Shoe closet clean-up! Get the unworn, unwanted and "waste of money" items out of the closet and enter into the new phase of shoe trends for the upcoming season. As a shoe fashionista, it's important to keep updating your look! As always, never throw unwanted shoes away! Give them to a friend, donate them to a cause or sell them on ebay and get out there and find your New You: New Shoe!
